The Big Blob

Once there were two kids, their names were Jack and Blake. One day they took a walk through the forest. As they were walking they tripped up over a log

“ oooofffff,” they said winded.  

But little did they know that there was a meteorite right in front of them. As soon as they had woken up from the daze they sore it, it was HUGE!

“ Cool,” said Jack as he tried to lift it up.

“ I wonder what it is,” said Blake.

“Wait a second,” said Blake

“ It’s a meteorite!”

“ Cool, we should take it home,” said Jack.

So together they managed to lift it up and walk it back home. They placed it carefully in Blake's bedroom, and then went down stairs to get a --snack.   But suddenly their snack was interrupted by a strange noise.

“What’s that?” asked Jack.

“ It sounded like it was coming from upstairs,” said Blake.

“ The meteorite!” they both said at the same time.

They rushed upstairs and found a crack in the meteorite.

“ Huh,” said Jack uneasy and a bit scared.

“ How could this have happened?” Asked Blake.

“ Maybe an alien lives inside of it and it is trying to get out,” said Jack.

“ Don’t be ridiculous,” said Blake to Jack.

“ Hey I could be right,” Said Jack.

“Why don’t we get something to eat,” said Blake.

So they went back downstairs to have something to eat. That night while sleeping the meteorite cracked open and a green goo slithered out and crawled into Blake's mouth, suddenly his face started to glow an unhealthy green. He woke up and said the following word

“ Yum.”

Chapter Two

Yum, Yum, Yum

When Jack woke up the next morning he noticed that the fridge was almost empty.

“ That’s weird,” said Jack

“ All of the food is gone.”

“Blake, Blake.’

“ Where is he.”

So he walked up to Blake's bedroom to check on him. As he walked in he found a trail of lolly wrappers that lead out the window.

“ This is weird,” said Jack as he slowly walked out.
Then he just ran. All day Blake was missing until dinner, when he ran inside sat down and ate all of it, and all he said to Jack and his Mother was, I was out in the forest. Suddenly, though, Blake began to glow blue.

“Honey, I don’t want to alarm you, but, your glowing, Purple,”she said.

“ Um, Blake are you telling the truth,” said Jack,

“Purple, does mean you have something to hide.”

“No, I would never lie to you,” replied Blake.

But it just got weirder every day, and still blake just found more excuses.

Until one day when he came home at 8:00pm fat and green, and this time his mother and little brother were waiting for him, as soon as he walked through the door they turned on the light and took him over to the TV.  

“ TV, TV,” said Blake enthusiastically.

“That’s not what this is Blake,” she said seriously.

Chapter Three

Ahhh

“Blake, why have you been out side eating people alive,” said Mum.

Blake couldn’t explain, after all his mum had recorded the News where it showed everything that had happened that night. Suddenly the police burst through the door to see Blake, he was huge and glowing green.

“ Ahh,” they screamed simultaneously as they ran  back out the door. Then, Blake started to explain every thing that had happened that during the last few days...

“ So let me get this straight ,” said Mum confused.

“ You Brang home a huge meteorite and didn’t tell me about it”

“ Yes,” said the two kids.

“ Wait,” said Jack “my theory.”

“ This is not the time for your games Jack,” said Mum

“ we need to get to the bottom of this.”

“ But Mum I think I know what is happening to Blake” he said enthusiastically.

Chapter Four

The Plan

“ Jack, i’m sorry to say that that is impossible, anyway everyone go to bed we’ll sort this out in the morning,” said Mum.

“ Ahh, Mum, where am I going to sleep,” said Blake

“ Ahh, in the living room,” replied Mum…

But that night the two boys mother saw a white light coming from the hallway at first she thought that she was dreaming, but when she hopped out of bed and opened the door she realised that this wasn’t a dream, there was a bony creature standing there looking at her, it was kind of white but see through, it’s eyes were a bloodshot red, and it had what looked like a small red heart inside of it. But what frightened the boys mother the most though, was when the scary thing opened it’s mouth to speak.

“Your son has my baby boy,” it said walking back and forth.

“ That, that, that’s impossible,” she stammered.

“But it’s true my boy came down to earth, because to become an actual alien you must come down to earth and put your head in the water,” it said.

“ O, k, I’ll get your son out of my son,” she said.

“ Good,” said the creature, as it suddenly vanished.

The two boys Mum quickly shut the door and said,

“ oh, oh.”

Chapter Five

The Green Thing

The next day as Mum was reading the paper she saw something that surprised her.

“ Shrink ray invented, by the world's greatest scientist, Dr Nafario.”

Suddenly an idea came to her mind.

“ what is we use the shrink ray to get the blog out of Blake!” she thought.

It was crazy but she thought that it could actually work.

She went and told Jack about it and he thought that it was a great idea.

Later that day they went to see the scientist and tell him about it.

“ Great idea,” he said instantly.

“ We'll just have to shrink some kind of ship, and then of course you two, and then you can go inside of Blake shrink the blob and take it out of him,” he said.

“ Cool,” said Jack.

Luckily the professor had a plane that he had built for this kind of thing.

He shrunk it, then shrunk Mum and Jack, and they flew over to Blake and inside of his mouth. It wasn’t long before they saw it, A huge green thing covering Blake's heart and somehow controlling him.

Mum and Jack gasped, “this could get ugly.”

Chapter Six
Goodby Blob

Mum leaned out of the plane, but was hit by some guys guts.

“ Oww,” she said disgusted.

But she kept leaning out of the plane until she was technically touching the blob that was covering Blake’s heart, she shot it with the shrink ray and then took it off of Blake's heart, and dragged it inside the plane. Then chained it up in the corner of it. After that they flew out of Blake's mouth and back to Dr Nefario's lab. They both decided that they should mail the green blob to NASA, where they could send him back up to space. They thanked Dr Nefario and went home. When they got home they found Blake sitting on the couch watching TV. Oh and one more thing there was a new rule in their home. No Meteorites!

Reflection: I really enjoyed the task of making my own GIF although it was a struggle.

Hello there, my name is Blake, and today i’m going to tell you about a famous journey, that will live on in the hearts of every kiwi for decades to come. The journey  sir Edmund Hillary, a famous new zealander, and Tenzing norgay, a famous nepalese, the sherpa that helped Ed to climb the mountain, that mountain being Everest. They reached the top of the mountain, on the 29 of may 1953 at 11:30 pm. After 7 weeks of dreaming and climbing they had finally reached the summit of Everest.

In 1952 Sir Edmund Hillary  was invited to join the british expedition to climb Everest, the expedition was a failure. So Hillary went back to his normal life as a beekeeper, he farmed bees until he got a telegram, asking him if he would like to join another british expedition, attempting once again to climb mount everest. He accepted the invitation to become the first person to climb mount everest.

He flew to the border of nepal and china there he met Tenzing norgay. When they began to climb the mountain, it was tough but as they went along it became easier for them to climb the mountain, after seven weeks of hard climbing and dreaming Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay made it to a cliff face, it was steep and Completely vertical, Edmund Hillary went first. He found a way to the top,  he squeezed in between a crack in the cliff and using all his body Strength he managed to pull himself up to the top. Once they reached the top of mount everest they each planted a flag from their own country, they stayed on the summit for around fifteen minutes before their oxygen became low and they climbed down to meet their fellow climbers. They told them about how they had reached the top and about the cliff face, ed told the story of how they climbed it and they all returned to their own countries to tell of how the mission was a success.

Reflection: I think that I did quite well discovering the deeper meanings of the songs.

         We had to make a DLO on the story of Pentecost because Pentecost Sunday is coming up I hope you enjoy. 😊

I think that me and Noah did well we weren't going to do sing it our self, but we built the courage, and in the end we decided to sing it our self. I think that we could've improved our singing voices.

 On Wednesday the 10 May, Canterbury Sports organiser Jack, organised a rugby league school tournament.
It was a fun day and something to remember. I felt that it was a great opportunity to improve our skills and have a great day.

Northern Stargazer

When the year sevens and eights went away to technology, we had to make a slide show about a deadly sea creature. Me and my friend Coby did one about the Northern Stargazer, and this is ours.
